The resort may be the first tourism complex in the Carribbean region to operate with electrical vehicles within its installations.
The Spanish-based Turiscar company, a joint venture partner of the Piñ ero Group, manages the design and pre-assembly of the electrical cars which are now being dispersed to Jamaica, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
The cars are utilized in the Bahia Principe hotels, along with in other hotels that operate in the area.
Since 2016, Turiscar has distributed a total of 318 electric cars to the chain’ h hotels in Spain, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica.
The 744-room Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro Resort also features 9 restaurants, three bars, spa, course, swimming pools, casino and aquatic recreation area.
