The sudden closure of Kite Club Cabarete left both locals and tourists slightly surprised. This almost legendary kite-spot next to the point on kite beach in Cabarete has been an almost obligatory place for all kiters visiting the Dominican Republic.

Kite Club Cabarete “changed” owners a couple of years ago, the place got a much needed facelift but not without controversy as not all kiters liked to have to pay money to access the public beach via the kite club.
